Set up DMARC reports

DNS Autopilot needs your domain's DMARC aggregate reports. There are two ways to give it to them. Gmail connect is the fastest and needs no DNS change.

Option 1: connect Gmail

  1. Sign in with Google.
  2. Open Setup in the dashboard and choose Connect Gmail.
  3. Approve read-only access. DNS Autopilot searches only for DMARC report emails; this page lists exactly what is read.
  4. Your reports import in the background and your domains appear within minutes.

Gmail connect is on Pro, Agency, and the 14-day Pro trial until Google verifies the app. The report address below works on every plan.

Option 2: no Gmail? Use your report address

Every account has a report address like YOUR-TOKEN@rua.dnsautopilot.com. You find it in Setup. Add it to the rua tag of your DMARC record, a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com:

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:YOUR-TOKEN@rua.dnsautopilot.com

If you already have a DMARC record, keep it and add the address to rua, separated from any other address by a comma. Keep p=none while you collect reports. Reports start arriving within a day or two, because each provider sends one a day.

Where to edit the record

The first reports for a new domain wait until the domain's own DNS record lists your address, so nobody can add a domain they do not control.

Next

When reports arrive, open a domain to see its senders, grade, and readiness for the next policy step. You can check a domain's records any time with the free check.

Check your domain, then watch it

Add a domain to a free account and we re-check it every day and read its DMARC reports. Free for one domain.
